Thank-you letter from Solidari’terre to the contributors of Solidarité France Bulgarie
Solidari’Terre is a student charity of law 1901 with humanitarian purpose. It consists of voluntary students of the engineering school Ecole Centrale of Lyon and of the school of management EM LYON. Since 1993, it federates young people wishing to bring a concrete and sustainable help to the people and the communities in need.
Some projects are local or national: Sidaction, Telethon, blood donation, tutoring… whereas others have an international dimension: the summer projects (Africa, Asia, South America) and Christmas in Bulgaria. With an experience of more than 20 years, the charity takes advantage of the skills and of the motivation of its members to bring the most adapted help in each of its projects. Also, each year, volunteer students go to Bulgaria to visit the establishments chosen and make great encounters.
For the project Christmas in Bulgaria, Solidari’Terre has an established partnership with the French-Bulgarian association, Solidarité France Bulgarie. This year, Solidari’terre commited to finance equipments for a center welcoming mentally disabled children and people in Harmanli. In accordance with the director of the center, it was decided to offer an inflatable structure and an ergometer bicycle so all of them could exercise while having fun. Our charity realized a crowdfunding campaign in order to raise money. However, this crowdfunding system require a long process to get the money back. This system would not have allowed us to see the equipment installation during our trip in Harmanli.
This is when Maria, Daniel, and all their contributors came into play. We would like to sincerely thank all of you, without whom the project would not have been able to succeed completely. In the past, it was rare that students can see the realization of their money raise. This year it was possible thank to Solidarité France Bulgarie. Thanks to all of you, we witnessed the joy that this equipment brought. The memories of their smiles and the stars shining and their eyes followed us to France. We owe you this! Thank you!
